Working out the length of one side of a triangle, Area given?

The base of the triangle is 24cm and the area is 228cm^2. I have to find out the height
how???
Pleasee helpp :) x

A = 1/2BH
228 = 1/2*24*H
H = 228/12 = 19 CM.

  1. Area is 1/2 base times height. So….divide 228 by 12 (you have to halve the base)

  2. A = 1/2BH
    228 = 1/2*24*H
    H = 228/12 = 19 CM.

  3. Well just use the basic equation of area of triangle

    A = (b * h)/2
    228 = (24 * h)/2
    456 = 24 * h

    h = 19 cm

  4. Area of a triangle = 1/2 B*H = 228 cm^2
    228 = 1/2 * 24 * x (solve for x)
    456 = 24 * x
    x = 19 cm

  5. The area of a triangle is base*height (b*h).
    Therefore for your question you simply have to divide 228 by 24 which give you the height of the triangle( 9.5cm)
    This can be checked by multiplying 9.5*24 which gives 228.
    Hope this helped

    A = b x h, so just make h the subject like this:

    b x h = A

    h = A/b

    h = 228/24 = 9.5 cm

    Very simple, so long as you know how to rearrange formulae to get the subject you want. You can use formula triangles, but I think it’s easier to simply make sure you can rearrange. Do you understand what I did above? First you have to memorise the formula area = base x height. Then to rearrange, I find it helps to put b x h on the LHS and area on the RHS. Then you have to isolate the variable you want as subject on the LHS, so get rid of b. Since h when multiplied by b is A, it follows that h alone will be A divided by b.

    oops, sorry, A = 1/2 b x h, so my answer is wrong, but what I said about rearranging formulae still holds.

  7. Q: Working out the length of one side of a triangle, Area given?

    The base of the triangle is 24cm and the area is 228cm^2. I have to find out the height

    how???

    A: Kindly see>>> as below:

    1-Step: while, the area of a triangle = 1/2 B*H = 228 cm^2

    So, you have the result of [228 = 1/2 * 24 * x (to solve for (x) ) ] >>> [ 456 = 24 * x ]

    2- Step; therefore: the height [ x = 19 cm ].

    Ok

    Good Lucks
