How much does a substitute teacher get paid in the North Dallas area?
How much can a person get paid with a Bachelors Degree make for substituting in the north Dallas area: Plano, Richardson, Dallas or other nearby cities? No teaching experience, not bilingual.
The best thing for you to do is call one of the district offices, or go online. Substitutes get paid the same regardless of their qualifications, so if you’re accepted you’ll make the same salary as all subs in the area. I would imagine, though, that a big city like Dallas will pay a bit more than the outlying areas. I’m in California and substitute pay is determined by each school district. You might be able to get a map of the school districts in that area by googleing the Texas department of education.
Plano is 81 a day- http://www.pisd.edu/employment/substitute.information/substitute.pay.shtml
Thats if your on a day by day assignment and not long term.
Dallas is a little more, at 85 was what I believe they were paying. However, right now- most schools no longer have sub teacher openings, you may have to wait until next fall for that. Richardson and Dallas both are not taking applications.
