Has anyone ever been to the Seattle area? What kind of state parks are nearby? We love the mountains.?

Having some trouble finding much info about Wenatchee, but aren’t sure how far away it is (internet says a couple different things), and we didn’t want to drive someplace four hours away.
What other options are there?

Thanks, yahoo folks :)
