I’ve been directing myself toward looking over national supreme court cases and some of the major state level rulings
According to a recent article in the NY Times, the "Southern Strategy" that began in the Nixon era is rapidly dissipating due to higher educational levels in states like Virginia and North Carolina. This may be a template of future elections that is extremely interesting since recent GOP victories have relied so heavily on this tactic to succeed.

My last main interest was between natural right and utilitarian arguments. David Friedman’s "The Machinery of Freedman" sort of took the wind out of my sail for natural right arguments. Even thought Friedman took the wind out of my sail with natural right theory, I still hold them by a loose rule of thumb, before I cave into utilitarian arguments.
