What major is needed or what is the area of study if I intend to become a pediatrician?

I want to know what is the area of study if i want to be a pediatric or a doctor in general (ex: Healthcare professional or biomedical science) & i want to know the majors i need! please help me! Thanks!!!

My hubby is in med school currently. He also plans to become a pediatrician.He majored in Biology with a premed emphasis.However,you don’t have to obtain a certian undergraduate degree. You should chose a few med schools that you might like to attend a research thier requirements. There are usually certain classes that you must take . In addition you will be required to have voulteer work and other stuff like that. Good luck :)
