how can i find the circumference of a quarter circle using its area?
k, i have to find the circumference, diameter and radius for a quarter circle with an area of 19.93. im sorry, i usually figure these out myself, but im so stuck on this one:( any help would be appreciated. thnx<3
A=pi r^2, so knowing that you can figure out what the radius is by reworking the equation to get r by itself. once you get that, just plug and chug the numbers to get the radius. knowing that you can figure out the other things easily.
area=1/4(pi)r^2
u can put d values n can find out the radius
19.93=(22/28)r^2
hence can get d value of r
n further u can find out circumference by using the formula C=2(pi)r
u will get all ur answers

If it has the area of 19.93 then the area for a full circle is 79.72
79.72=pi r^2
25.3=r^2
r=5.04
D=2r
D=10.07
C=pi d /4 (quarter circle)
C=2.52pi
C=7.91
References :
Area = pi*r^2 = 19.93 so,
r = sqrt(19.93/pi) = 2.518 = radius
diameter = 2*radius = 5.037
Circumfrence = 2*pi*r = 15.8255 and for a quarter circle just divide by 4
1/4 circle circumfrence = 15.8255/4 = 3.9564
The diameter is for a full circle, it doesn’t make sense to have a diameter for a 1/4 circle
References :
area= pi*radius^2
4*19.93= pi*radius^2
79.72= pi*radius^2
79.72/pi= radius^2
squared root of (79.72/pi) = radius
now use this value of the radius on the equation:
Circumference= 2*pi*radius
and you will get the answer

Well, you know that the area of a circle = pi *r^2
So set the area equal to pi *r^2
pi *r^2 = 19.93
divide by pi
r^2 = 6.344
r = 2.519
The radius is half of the diameter, so the diameter = 5.037
To find circumference, the formula is pi * diameter
So, pi * 5.037 = 15. 825
Radius = 2.519
Diameter= 5.057
Circumference = 15.825
