Where is a good non-family friendly camp ground in the White Mountains NH?

Posted on February 28th, 2010 by admin in mountains area | 1 Comment »

We are a group of late 20-somethings and we dont want a place with a curfew or kids running around and people telling us to be quiet! Any good ones in the North Conway, White Mountain NH area? Thanks!

This time of the year you will not find a privately-owned campground anywhere that does not cater for family camping.

Even the state forest camping areas will have kids everywhere!

But do check out this site, maybe give one or two of them a call and ask.
Another owner will be your best source of information:

Having some trouble finding much info about Wenatchee, but aren’t sure how far away it is (internet says a couple different things), and we didn’t want to drive someplace four hours away.
What other options are there?

Thanks, yahoo folks :)

Does anyone know of a slab hut in the mountains behind Nambucca Heads/ Coffs Harbour (North NSW) area?

Posted on February 24th, 2010 by admin in mountains area | 1 Comment »

We are getting married and would like to find a slab hut in the mountains that looks something like "Craig’s hut" from the ‘Man from Snowy River’ for the ceremony and our wedding photos. The wedding will be a total of 30 people and we are more than happy to pay if anyone knows of something on private property or anywhere else. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! dustmud.

there is a little hut.. up in the ranges west of grafton.. it is very scenic , rainforesty and has a nice creek.. the hut is on a little cleared plateau, very green and lush and shady

forgot its name.. gibraltor ranges…

we have gone camping there a few times, its a national park, but the amenities are bare (hole toilet, cold showers, bbq areas.. and lots of beautiful walking trails.)

for more info contact national parks, they would have a simple broucher of it… i don’t know how much you would find online about that one though.
