On the GRE do they give you the formulas for area, circumference, etc?

I’m taking it Monday and it has been 6 years since I had to do any geometry. It is stressing me out.
No they don’t. You don’t even get a calculator. Have you taken a practice test yet and been studying for it? If not, you’re going to be in serious trouble. [...]

In mathematics, why are the area/volume formulas for square/cube the most simple?

compared to the area/volume formulas for circle/sphere and other graphics.
Well, I think it’s because a square is made of straight lines, all the same length, where circles are made of curves and you’d have to use a harder formula to find curves.
I guess, that’s what I think.

Explain how the formulas for perimeter an area of square may derived from corresponding formulas fo rectangle?

Explain how the formulas for perimeter and area of square may derived from corresponding formulas foe rectangle? geometry needs help!!! please
Rectangle: A = LW, P = 2(L + W)
Square: L = W; A = L^2; P = 2(2L) = 4L

can somebody tell me the formulas for all shapes for volume and area ?

i have my final GCSE maths exams next week and i am still struggling with formulas, can anybody tell me the exact formulas for all the shapes for example the formula for volume and area for a cylinder, if that makes any sense

list of formulas for surface area and volume?

does anyone have a link to a list of formulas for the surface area and volume for like spheres, pyramids, cones, trapezoids, parallelograms, etc etc.

wheres a place i can get the area formulas for polygons on the internet that aint blocked?

i have geometry work and only in the 9th grade and its pretty hard but i need a good place to get all the formulas to find area on the internet that isnt blocked by the school.
Without working at your school’s IT department, it’s impossible to know which sites would/wouldn’t be blocked at your school.

Where does the volume/surface area formula for a sphere come from?

In my geometry class, I noticed there is no "proof" for the volume and surface area formula for a sphere. When I looked it up online, Again I found nothing. Does anyone know what evidence there is to back up these formulas?
Both formulas can be derived using calculus.

Do you know a song about the area formulas?

I need to make up a song that is easy to remember about the area formulas of a rectangle and a square, a parallelogram, a triangle, and a trapezoid.
Here are the formulas:
Rectangles and Squares- L x W
Parallelograms- b x h
Triangles- b x h divided by 2
Trapezoids- h divided by 2 x (A base + B [...]

Does anyone know the formulas for area for these shapes?

I’m having trouble remembering the formulas to find area for the following shapes. Can anyone help me out?
area of a pentagon
Trapezoid
right trapezoid
Regular Hexagon
Thanks!
Also, I’m pretty sure that the formula for volume for all prisms is Area of the base * the height. Is that right?
volume for all prisms is Area of the base * the [...]

How would you represent these formulas algebraically to calculate the surface area of the human body?

1. Three-fifths of the height squared
2. 100 times the surface area of the hand print
3. Twice the height times thigh circumference
Thanks
(3/5)h^2
100S
2hC
h = height
S = hand-print surface
C = thigh circumference
