What areas in and around Vancouver are good to live for a family ?
We are moving to BC with a one year old and would like to know what areas are good for families. Like anywhere some areas are better than others. At the same time we don’t want to pay the earth for rent either!!
Thank You
You need to move to East Vancouver.
Stay away from North for price reasons and Richmond which is all corporate and industrial

One would think any of the suburbs and outlieing towns would be safe. My roommate grew up on the outskirts of surrey and he sys that its fairly safe as does a man I talk to online from white rock.

honestly – I lived in Vancouver and hated it.. the cost of living is high… the seperation between the rich and the poor is disgusting.
You will very likely never be able to aford to buy a home.. and what parent wants to rent forever??
Unless you REALLY have to move to Vancouver – dont…
Pitt Meadows or Maple Ridge were ok back when I was there or White Rock.. but if you work in Vancouver the commute is HELL and not worth it.. its not worth anything to have to spend that much time commuting to and from work…
anyhow move to ALberta – there are way more jobs and less stress and not as much air pollution….
ask yourself is it worth it?? I dont know why you are moving there – but leaving family or decent area is never worth a bigger wage.. especially in BC where the cost of living is inflated to rediculous numbers
