What are some good areas in the Atlanta area suburbs to live for good public schools and family life?

I can afford the most expensive areas in the metro area, what are some good areas in the suburbs of Atlanta.

The place I work is in Dunwoody, Georgia

My choices would be Gwinnett County or northern Fulton County.

  2. Hi There!

I would highly recommend East Cobb (in Marietta). All of the high schools in East Cobb are great, but the best would be Walton High School, and the elementarys and middles that feed into it. In fact one of the elementary schools, East Side Elementary, just underwent a complete school renovation. Well actually, they rebuilt the school, and it was a state-of-the-art multi-million dollar project. In East Cobb, all of the moms/dads are doctors, business owners, etc. But what I like about East Cobb is all of the people are very wealthy but they are also great family oriented people. We are commonly called "East Cobb Snobs" but don’t let the name fool you. We are very nice and accommodating. Since you, actually have some pretty deep pockets I would recommend you live in, Atlanta Country Club, which is the most prestigious Country Club/subdivision in East Cobb. Homes in "ACC" range from about $1,000,000 to upwards of $10,000,000+.
