How do I print out a specified Google map area?

I have to do this project where I have to draw or print out a map of an imaginary national park. I have chosen an area but I need a way to print it out and modify it. By the way, don’t suggest "Just draw it!" because I can’t draw for jack!

Did you try to zoom in and then to click on Print?
Otherwise, Press Print Screen SysRq on your keyboard (usually on the top right of the keyboard, or above inset button. Then paste it to MS Word, or even Paint. (Don’t laugh!) You can use a paint programme to edit it and modify it:

1) But to modify it then you have to edit in MS Word:
Click map, or picture>Double-click it>Click Picture tab>You can modify by cropping it, change the colours, the brightness, the contrast and even compress it!>Click OK.

2) Ctrl+V key pressed together onto Paint.(Start>Programs>Accessories>Double-click Paint to open it), and you have a few options to modify the picture of the map itself and even write on it.

3) I’d advice you though to get a proper free image editor to manipulate it at ease:

4) You can also use MS PowerPoint or you can use the free option by Open Office: http://download.openoffice.org/other.html#tested-full
