How do I copy a certain area from google maps without having to print it?
Here’s the link: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
I’m typing up a report about a place and I need to use a small distance map of the area but the only options I can find is to print it. I want to copy and paste it onto the document but I can’t figure out how.
Please help, thanks!
I don’t have a scanner.
Print Screen it, on your keyboard press on a wierd key named something like Prt Scr. This is a screenshot of your screen, then copy and paste it onto paint. On paint edit it to cut it down. Once you’ve done that save it to your choice, such as my documents. After that just drag the picture to your document from where ever you saved it.
the print screen (prt scrn) button on your keyboard.
alt and prt scrn will just grab the active window

IF you have a way to open it later, you could "print to file," then open the file and copy the file into your work.
(I do not know if the google maps are in a "standard" format, as i have never used one. IF they are it should be no problem, if they are not you might have a problem opening it later.)
The other option is to print the map, and then use a scanner to scan it back into your document.
