what are the formulas for the surface area and volume of a square pyramid?

Hey everybody i was just wondering if anyone knows the formulas for the surface area and the volume of a square pyramid.Thank You to anyone who answers.

The volume is (1/3)(area of the base)(height)
For the surface area, just add the area of the square base plus the area of each triangular face

  1. The volume is (1/3)(area of the base)(height)
    For the surface area, just add the area of the square base plus the area of each triangular face

  2. area of base times 1/2height?

  3. area=base times base plus base times height divided by two times four. dont know volume

  4. If the side of the square is a,
    area=a^2+4(slant height)a/2=a^2 +2a(slant height)
    =============================================
    Vol=1/3a^2 h,h=vertical height.

  5. Length of Side = s
    Height = h
    Length of Base = b
    Area = b²

    Volume = b²h / 3

    Surface area (discounting base) = 4bs / 2
