How do I work out the BTU value of a radiator? I’m using stainless steel. surface area x ? formula?

There are loads of formulae out there to work out how many radiators you need and what sizes etc however I’m making 3 radiators in stainless steel (2 for me and one to sell) however I want to be able to quote him a figure in BTU’s. I had a formula from a friend but it didn’t work out anywhere near right.

I would say go to a website and use the size & btus they list for one that is closest to the size you plan to build.
The type of metal won’t matter much but the length will have more effect on heat output along with the type of heat, steam or hot water.
