1)find the perimeter and area of a rectangle with width 5 centimeters and lenght 16 centimeters.
2)the width of a rectagular picture is one-half the lenght. the perimeter of the rectangle is 72 inches. find the lenght of the picture.
3)the lenght of a rectangle is three times the width. the perimeter is 49 units. find the lenght.

1) 42 cm
2) 24 in
3) 18 3/8 units

    perimeter is adding all 4 sides (5×2) + (16 x2) = perimeter
