Is it normal to get cramps in your uterus area at 5 weeks pregnant?

It can be very normal to get these cramps around this time. It can feel like your getting your period even.
Your uterus expands in such an enormous way in the first couple of weeks that it makes sense that that would hurt a little. As long as these pains are not accompanied by blood loss you don’t have to worry. Just take it easy when it starts to hurt, your body needs time to adjust to al the changes.

BTW, congratulations

I had MILD cramps with no heavy bleeding or pain, in the first like 10 weeks of pregnancy and my doctor said it was normal.

  4. Yes. If the cramps are relatively mild and are not accompanied by any spotting or bleeding. If the cramps are extremely severe and you have any blood, contact your doc immediately.

yes it is normal, your uterus is starting to expand little bits at a time to make room for the baby. The way it does that is by contracting itself which causes cramps. Cramps are usually safe as long no bleeding is associated with it. I’m 16 weeks and still get really light cramping occassionally.
