Moving to North Miami Beach area looking for school.?

Posted on November 30th, 2009 by admin in north area | 1 Comment »

We are planning to move to Sunny Isles area (North Miami Beach) my son is 7 and need to go to a good school. Anybody outhere who know the area and can suggest any good elementary schools or charter school?

Your child will be assigned to school nearest your home, so if you are trying to put your child in a certain school you will have to live in the zone that pertains to that school. That is unless you can get some sort of exeption or your child is qualified enough to get into a charter school. With that said this website will give you information about the schools in general:

http://www.greatschools.net/schools.page?city=North%20Miami%20Beach&state=FL

At the above site there is an option to compare schools, so yoy can select a few and compare them side by side.

This website will give you some ratings of the teachers at the school and give you an idea of how your child will be taught.

Any reputable colleges for a Commercial Photography / Business double major in the NE area?

Posted on November 30th, 2009 by admin in major area | 1 Comment »

I’m a junior in high school and I’m starting to seriously look into colleges with both commercial photography and business majors. A good reputation is a must, and I’d prefer to stay in the NE area though if it’s a perfect match I’ll go anywhere.
Thanks!

Appologies, I mean the New England area.

there are actually zero colleges that offer both of those majors in the new england area.

but here is the only college in the new england area that offers business and photography:

Hampshire College
Amherst, MA

here are the colleges outside of the new england area that offer business and commercial photography:

Rochester Institute of Technology
Rochester, NY

Texas A&M University-Commerce
Commerce, TX

sorry there arent very many colleges for what you want! :(

What is the area of a triangle that has a 270 degree angle within a circle whose radius is 4 inches?

Posted on November 30th, 2009 by admin in circle area | 1 Comment »

I know the area of a circle is pie*radius(squared), so what would be the area and if you could please tell me how you got the answer thanks

270 degrees is 3/4 of a circle. So the area would be 3/4 * pi * r^2

The area is 12pi.Hope this helped.

Finding the area of a triangle based on vertices lines?

Posted on November 30th, 2009 by admin in triangle area | 2 Comments »

I can’t solve this, could someone please help me?

16) The lines: x-2y=2, -3x+y=4, and 2x+y=4 intersect in pairs to determine the vertices of a triangle. Find the area of the triangle.

Draw all three lines on x-y plane, and find all intersection points: (0,4), (2,0) and (-2,-2).
Since the triangle can be split into two triangles with a common base = 2+4/3 = 10/3, the area is equal to
(1/2)(10/3)(4+2) = 10 units^2

What is the formula for the surface area of a triangular prism?

Posted on November 30th, 2009 by admin in area formula | 4 Comments »

I have a maths test tomorrow and need to know the formula for the surface area of a triangular prism. i have searched on the net and cant find what i am looking for!!
i am in year 8 so try to be simple !! :)

The are two equal triangles on a triangular prism. The formula for each is 1/2*b*h.
Multiply by two because there are two triangles. 2*1/2*b*h or b*h.

There are three rectangles on a triangular prism. There formula for each is b*h. Multiply by three because there are three rectangles. 3*b*h.

Geometry and Area Formulas, help.?

Parallelogram: A=bh
Triangle: A=1/2 bh
Trapezoid: A=1/2(b1+b2)h

The area formula for a rectangle is A=bh. Explain thoroughly how the three formulas are derived from the area formula from a rectangle.

the area of a rectangle is A = bh, the base time the height.
The Parallelogram is the same as the Rectangle, as a Parallelogram is a rectangle with part chopped off one side and added onto the other…

A triangle is half of a rectangle. (Right Angle triangles are just rectangles, or squares, cut in half. With other triangles, if you draw a tight rectangle around it, the area outside of the traiangle will be the same as the area of the triangle.

With the Trapezoid, again you can cut off a bit, twist it around and add it to the other side and it will become a rectangle. the height of the rectangle will be the same as the Trapezoid, but the base would be the average of b1 and b2, so therefore 1/2(b1 + b2).. so multiply that by the height to get the area.

Location for Cheap Aparment for mover to South Jordan- Utah area, likes nature, mountains, forest areas?

Posted on November 30th, 2009 by admin in mountains area | 2 Comments »

Anyone know this area and could name an apartment, or just a good town I should look for one; a place that has a nice nature location, maybe near the moutains, forest or trails…

Good places to live: West Jordan, South Jordan, Riverton, Draper. These places are close to the mountains, they are safe.
Serengeti Springs
Legacy Springs Apartments
Sterling Village
Just stay away from old West Valley, Taylorsville, North section of state street including down town, north section of Redwood Road.
Check anywhere south of 7200 south and anywhere around Bangerter Highway which is about 3500 west. Those areas are closer to the mountains, new developments, nice commercial centers and schools.

What are the best areas in the country to purchase a condo for investment purposes?

Posted on November 30th, 2009 by admin in areas | 4 Comments »

I am contemplating areas such as San Diego, Phoenix, Santa Barbara and perhaps Miami or Naples FL. Would I be better off buying a house as an investment?

It will not be a short term investment. If you buy now and keep it for 5-6 years, you’ll make money.
Southern California is a good place. The prices leveled out now and they’ll go up (not next year, of course, but in about 5-6 years.)
If you want to rent out the place, a condo is better because there’s less maintenance to worry about and it’s easier to find renters.)
If you want to be a long distance landlord, you need somebody to keep an eye on your investment. When a customer of mine buys a place through me and rents it out, I act as a manager of a place with no charge to the owner. I do it as a bonus to my clients. Contact me, if you want to talk.
